Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer: N7 Fury Adept Tips

Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer N7 Fury

The N7 Fury is the newest Adept character with the Earth DLC Pack.  It is an extremely effective Biotic Combo class that works great with other Adepts.

Powers

The N7 Fury gets Throw in addition to two brand new multiplayer powers: Annihilation Field and Dark Channel.

Throw

Throw is most effective for setting off high-speed Biotic Combos, especially using the Recharge Combo Tier 5.

-  Tier 4: Force, increase force by 40%

-  Tier 5: Recharge Combo, setting off a Biotic Combo resets the recharge time

-  Tier 6: Recharge Speed, increase recharge speed by 60%

Annihilation Field

Annihilation Field is a little tricky, since the enemies you are facing can change how you want to level it up.  Tier 6 has the option of Drain, which is only effective against enemies with shields or barriers.  If you fight many Geth, this is great, but against Reapers it is much less effective.  I prefer to use the Drain option, and then be careful to only use it against enemies with shields.

-  Tier 4:  Impact Radius, increase radius by 30%

-  Tier 5: Movement Speed, increase movement speed by 20% while active

-  Tier 6: Drain, double the duration and drain 100% of the damage done to barriers and shields to charge your barrier while active

Dark Channel

Those who downloaded the From Ashes DLC will recognize Dark Channel as one of Javik’s powers, and a damn powerful one at that.  Dark Channel is sort of like Warp, but once you kill the enemy affected by it, it can jump to a nearby enemy.

-  Tier 4:  Damage, increase damage by 30%

-  Tier 5:  Recharge Speed, increase recharge speed by 35%

-  Tier 6:  Damage, increase damage by 50%

N7 Fury/Fitness

Upgrade these with your leftover points, focusing on power damage and health bonuses.  I like to have at least Tier 3 Fitness.

Weapons

Being a power-based class, you should make use of the new Ultralight Pistol Materials Mod and use a heavy pistol like the Carnifex or Paladin.  I like the Carnifex the most.  I also equip a Scope for hitting headshots the most easily.

Strategy

This class is a ton of fun to play.  The Biotic Combo potential is just off the charts.  Throw sets off combos with everything, so use it often when teammates have already hit an enemy.  Dark Channel will prime targets for combos, and does damage over time, so also be using it whenever possible.  An especially potent strategy for weaker units is to hit one with Dark Channel, and then hit that same target with Throw.  Since this combos and will likely kill the target, the Dark Channel will jump to the next enemy, and your recharge timer will reset when the combo detonates, allowing you to immediately hit the new target with Throw, setting off the whole chain again.  This is great against Reaper and Cerberus Troopers, and the Dark Channel followed by Throw strategy is effective against any enemy.  Annihilation Field is also very strong.  It can be used through cover to hit enemies who are affected by Dark Channel, and you can use it to stagger nearby enemies if you get in a tight spot.  If you are finding yourself low on barrier, move near an enemy unit with shields/barriers to drain theirs.

The N7 Fury also has a new type of dodge and melee.  Both of them involve teleportation, and can make you very hard to hit.  The dodge maneuver can also teleport you through some walls, making for fast getaways.  Since this class has fairly low health, these movements can be the difference between success and failure.

Why don’t you level up your fitness? I do it with all my characters and I never die, especially on Platinum. Well except when I charge in with my Destroyer guns blazing.

Thanks for the tip! I haven’t played much Platinum yet, but when I do, I’ll update the page. Not sure when I’ll have time with the slew of games releasing soon.
